Its Thursaday 1:30 pm ,I have just downloaded skype on my phone ,logged in and waiting for the hour of 2.
This is the first time i am going to have a video call with my talking therapist since the lockdown has been imposed, the phone rings, i touch the video call answer and our faces come alive on each other’s end .
we stared at each other, an uncomfortable silence, both trying to adjust to this unfamiliar meeting, he gently asked how i was doing and my response was as casual as it surprised the other .
IM THRIVING I SAID, nothing much has changed if changed, welcome to my world isaid. It took him off gaurd and he gently probed me some some more, And my answer is ,what have i lost , i dont have a job, no house of my own .
I live for the moment, where ever i lay my hat thats my home (Paul Young).
This afflictiom, corona, this terrrible silent assasin has given me a place to rest my tired old bones ,in hotels ,dormitories we are being loved .
let the earth breath, humanity become human we are all but one ,SURVIVAL,
HAS THE WORLD CHANGED FOR ME NO, WELCOME TO MY LIFE ,LIFE STRIPPED OF ALL THE WORDLY POSSESIONS,
WE ALL A PEOPLE…. UBUNTU
